# The1 — Intelligence, made explicit.

## Position
The1 is an independent laboratory for symbolic intelligence. It turns observations
into mathematical relationships that people can inspect, test, and own.

The law laboratory discovers relationships in measured data. The text laboratory
is a small word-polynomial experiment. It is not a pretrained general-purpose
LLM. The product title “Create Your LLM IN 1 Minute” describes quick setup; it must
always appear with clear experimental scope and device-dependent training time.

## The mark
A single upright numeral 1, with a short diagonal flag and a thin baseline.
It represents one intelligible relationship emerging from many observations.
Keep the silhouette simple. Use copper on paper or paper/copper on ink. Keep at
least half the mark's height clear around it. Do not add orbital rings or brain
symbols. The favicon is the simplified code-native version of the same numeral.

Use the deeper copper for small text on paper. Do not rely on color alone for
status: include a label. Preserve visible focus outlines and reduced-motion support.

## Typography
Newsreader is the editorial voice. Use regular/light serif for display headings,
with one italic emphasis. Inter is the interface and paragraph face. System
monospace is reserved for coefficients, numeric IDs, compact labels, and equations.
Keep interface text live in HTML. Do not bake essential instructions into images.

## Space and composition
Use thin rules, rectangular work surfaces, and generous breathing room. The
playground fills the viewport without an outer frame, border, or margin. Keep
interior padding for readable controls. On mobile, stack teaching and conversation
surfaces and preserve their reading order. Avoid horizontal page overflow.

## Voice
Concrete, curious, precise. Say what was measured and where the model may fail.
Prefer “held-out output accuracy” to an unlabeled percentage. Polynomial scores
are not probabilities. Every word equation is inspectable and exportable.
Avoid agency language, unverifiable performance claims, and claims of general
intelligence. Say “your experiment” rather than “your foundation model.”

## Imagery
Copper signal traces converge into a singular numeral on an ink field. Use warm
physical surfaces, copperplate linework, restrained grain, and large quiet areas.
No neon, generic brains, or unrelated stock photography.
